      Correct! The current system and society as a whole has this trend/habit as if your whole life will collapse if you fail an exam. And worse some jobs/courses require you pass your O level in one sitting.. (cannot combine cert). This is a product of the backward, oppressive Tiger style teaching that leads nowhere.

      I have seen adults go back to school in their 30s in the US because they want to change career paths etc. I doubt you’ll see any 30 year olds in a polytechnic because of the social stigma that the current system creates. The Govt needs to grow up and look at education differently.

        is it just me or the primary school students are just boasting about the results? whether u do well or not … whats important is the next step.. and once u step on the next rock in life .. your back to being a nobody and are on equal grounds with everyone …. and importantly doesnt mean your the best you will still be the best .. complacency will get u no where and doesnt mean that u didnt u do well you will stay there … buck UP PEOPLE … im 16 and comparing 0 lvl to psle …. YOUR FUTURE DOES NOT DEPEND ON THEM.. its how u take the choices in life and from there decide on how u gonna live ur life… this is a reminder for myself foremost…

    I took my PSLE this year and I got my agregrate, 178, going to Normal Academic but I don’t have a feeling cause I really care about going to the Secondary School but not to pass and got to be famous in TV, I just want my life to be happy but it’s ok to be in the Normal Academic. One more thing, this year a lot of people took the PSLE. ( What I mean is the happeepill fans most took the PSLE this year, I can’t believe someone took the PSLE this year too but all agregrate is 200^. I don’t really care but congratulation to all of you going to express only I’m going to Normal Academic.)

    i guess what EB trying to say is that, certificate may give you a stable job/life, but how sad if all of us only aim for the average normal life! Dream big and work really hard for what you want! Don let the results, the schools, the teachers, the parents tell you what u can do or can not do. You are the captain of your own journey!…..but on the other hand, I’m not saying that you can just fool around and waste your time and forget about your study. Study hard in order to fulfill your goals, not study to pass exam or answer to your teacher/parents. For those who did well in whatever exam, congratz, but getting a good results is not the end but just a beginning. For those who fail and did badly, not the end of the world, walk your own path and write your own destiny, although it would not be easy!

      Cheer up! At least your in express, your sad cause many people get 220 and above. But think of those lower then your score, they must wish to have your score too, right? Desire, everybody desire higher ranking. But yours is actually good already! Cant really demand more. I’m not saying this is your limit, just wanna remind you your not the worst and you gotta remind yourself like that. If you think your the worst, what about those in NT and NA? They must want your marks too. ^-^ Cheer up, whats done is already done. 8D
