My project is going on its almost last phases you guys. It's crunch time now.. I mean, this is where all things gets done and finalised. Just give the Evil Bunny more time and soon I will be back God willing. :P And I promise to clean this place up!

Besides my never ending project, I was attacked by bed bugs a couple of days ago. Bed bugs also known as "Pijat" are tiny little ninja insects that bites you while you are sleeping. Whats worse- its damn itchy and it leaves a mark. NICE!

Oh well, I sprayed the whole bedroom with this bed bug insecticide and so far its working.

And oh yeah, I took out the Tag Board cause that one has annoying YouTube like commercial complete with sound! How annoying!

This weekend was very productive. I manage to finish ALOT of outstanding work.. and me and my partner is starting to see the project going to Phase 2.

Man look at how pathetic this site is turning into. I think you guys are hungry for updates.. even my friends ask me about new cartoons. God willing, once I'm done with my project... I'll commit myself to this again. And I'll pump in some much needed money.. something that I was reluctant to do before.

And a friend told me about this javascript I can paste on the site for users to comment. You know what that means.. That means you can comment on my article and cartoons on the spot. But I will regulate lah or maybe Boon Kiat can help me. Haha.. see if he busy with school work lah:P

I am also contemplating to change the image of this site.. Maybe less cartoonish but more garang and professional, business looking type. Something that don't make you feel like a child cause I know some of my members are in their 20s... so I'm doing them a favour. Haha.. We'll see. :D

On the personal life front.. everything seem to be well... thanks be to God. I go to work and design stuff everyday... And oh yeah.. I did watched Terminator! It was just ok.. I prefer Part 1 and 2 better. I'm still contemplating on when to watch this 3D movie called "Up". And oh yeah.. Twilight Part 2, is coming up. Saw the trailer.. didn't like it:P

I guess that's about it.. I don't know how you guys keep up with this blog thing.. like finding new material to talk about unless you guys start to backbite about other people.. Hmm maybe I should do that.. or maybe not.

I know this site needs new fresh cartoons but wait lah.. I still doing my project ah. Fortunately, its completing soon.. give it a couple of months God willing.. I'll get back onto this Happeepill wagon. Actually I kinda miss making cartoons. But first this website needs another revamp. I mean, I'm looking at getting the password username PHP stuff done. So you guys don't have to wait for me to give you the password. After that is done, I can go all out churning more cartoons without worrying about the members imploding onto itself:D

Then maybe I will have this comment feature or you guys can send messages to each other etc. We'll see. Its different if I actually get paid doing this. And devoting my life to this site just to bring the stats up to entice advertisers is so NOT worth it. Oh well, all I can say for now is that I know you guys wanna see new cartoons but all of you have to wait for me to finish this project okies. :) Yup, 2009 is a slow year for Happeepill.

Besides being busy with work and working on my project, I decided to take a break and watch the UFC 98 just now. Its a fight sport like boxing but you can use legs and elbows. I went to this pub place where they charge $20 and they have huge screens with live broadcast. It was awesome fun. For you UFC fans.. Machida vs Rashad Evans >> Machida won with KO. Rashad went down like a ragdoll. It was messed up. And Matt Hughes vs Matt Serra.. Matt Hughes won via decision. I was kinda dissappointed with that cause to me, Matt Serra dominated the fight. Ok before I blab on a topic that only 5% of you are familiar with, I better end this bloggy thing with a video of a guy who spends alot of time playing with his exercise ball.

Quake Live

Had a chat with my sister and my best friend. Both of them got problems at work. Man, office politics really suck. For those of you who are still in school.. that school bully or whoever is harassing you in class is nothing compared to the a**hole in the office. From the supervisor who wants to flex his muscle and push his weight around even though he doesn't pay a cent of salary to his subordinates to the employee who only thinks of himself. Maybe I should write a blog just on Office politics alone. Heck I think a cartoon is in order.

I was looking for online games to play cause its been awhile since I played anything. Miniclip can only offer you so much. Lo and behold, through the electronic internet gaming fate, my attention was brought to "Quake Live". Never played Quake before. It was fun, until I got dizzy. Freakin aliens was running and jumping like rabid monkeys. Add neon color laser beams and blasting sound, that was enough to give me a headache. I think I'm just gonna stick to good old Solitaire.

Been busy with this project of mine but the good news is, I had another meeting with my partner and we decided to readjust some parts thus cutting the production BIG TIME. So hopefully, this thing will complete soon. But don't kan cheong yet, "soon" can be the end of the year :P

No more cartoon one ah?

I know its been a long while since I did a cartoon or a proper blog entry thing. My personal project is still in progress. Super snail slow but still moving forward lah. What to do, I have a fulltime job to juggle you know.

But rest assure, once I'm done with that project, and get 1 week break doing NOTHING to recharge, I'll get back on board to make some Flash stuff. Actually I already have this HUGE idea for Happeepill. But I rather not disclose it. :P To me, if you like the Happeepill Show, I know you will love this new idea. If I am able to pull this off, I think I have to charge per access liaos. Its true! The idea is that HUGE! :D But don't worry lah, even if I charge, I will make it super cheap. So cheap a 10 year old boy also can afford. He he. We'll see lah:)

Actually nothing much goin on with me except the usual staring in front of the PC/Mac routine. And yes, my office went through a MAJOR retrechment, laying off thing and the staff was cut down to 3 people. The office look sibeh deserted. But I am ever grateful to God that at least I still got my job. And from all the 7 years I work in this dumb Graphic Design industry, I must admit that this job is the BEST I have so far. So I got nothing to comprain.

I can't keep up...

I called a couple of friends which I have not met with for like years and both of them asked me if I have a Facebook. Actually I am not really active with all this online social net working thing. Even with Friendster, I only added a couple of pics and left my profile stay on dormant mode.

Now I receive like invitations to Tagged, LinkedIn and Twitter. What is the deal with Twitter? Post sms to let people know what I'm doing every 15 mins? That sounds just like NS. We call it a log book back then. But you guys gotta know that I don't even have the basics of all basics.. which is MSN. If I drink a gassy can drink every time someone ask me whether I have MSN, I think I'll have diabetes by now. I only have Yahoo messenger and I use it only at work; to talk to my co-workers in the office. Then come Gmail chat feature. I use that often but I am always on invisible. :D

Maybe the big reason for me not being so gung-ho about all this is that I don't find the need for it. Maybe if the programmer wizards from the black hole of the internetz would come up with a website or an application that really mean something to me. Like an application that can pay bills... or teleport me once I entered my username and password.... That would be awesome.

Ok I'm back. Alot of stuff happened and I'll share with you guys in point form.

1) I helped my friend move to his new place. To save money, my friend rented a van and we moved EVERYTHING by ourselves. Sibeh xiong. Somemore his new place is on the 4th floor so no choice have to climb the stairs. Can you imagine 2 skinny guys trying to lift a Queen size mattress up a flight of stairs? It's insane. But after 3 trips to and fro, we finally manage to clear eveything in one day. By the time we are done. its was 9pm. Psykolah..

2) My internet connection went berzerk. It will stay on throughout the day but when it hits 7pm, it auotomatically disconnects. I called for a tech guy to come by and when he checked the connection the next day in the AFTERNOON, he said everything is fine. Then I have to explain to him I always get disconnected at night but he insist that everything looks fine. Of course the problem persist lah.. Until the tech guy gotta come twice etc.

3) Yesterday, while I was doing work, I smelt something burning. I thought it was the lamp behind me, maybe some papers or cardboard got too close to the hot light bulb but I realised that it was coming from my 5 year old Dell CRT monitor. I quickly switched off power supply and open the windows lor. The whole room was slightly smoky :( So now I have to contemplate wether to buy a new monitor or to buy a totally brand new PC. See got money first or not lah:P For now I am temporarily using a widescreen monitor I kapo from the offcie. Nolah.. I never kapo, I asked my boss permission already.

4) Last but not least I went to Ikea recently to buy some furniture. Bought a computer table and a TV unit called "Besta Jarga".

Wah lau eh, I realise that I can't even commit myself to updating texty blog entries on Happeepill! Aiyah pan chan sikit lah. I am very busy you know.. Been busy with work and after that rush home and worked on my personal project.

The progress is preety slow but what to do, 3-4 hours a day only to work on it but I am starting to like the results :D Actually if you are a hardcore Happeepill fan/addict/internet person, you are aware that I took some time off Happeepill once to pursue a personal project that failed miserably. I did'nt tell you guys what it was but now I am gonna spill the beans because I feel like sharing some stuff with you guys.

Actually I made some demo reel and showed to a representative of MEDIACORP... yes as in the ONLY local TV station in this bloody island and they flatly denied both cartoons proposal. So for those of you who have commented like "EB you should get your stuff on TV!" etc.. We'll I did and they didn't like it.. so no choice have to go back back to square one lor.

Actually I am no stranger of my work being denied lah, entry never win lah, idea kena rejected lah.. but one of the reason why my 2 cartoon proposals was denied because they want it to be in 3D! It's like: I show them "South Park" and they want "Finding Nemo". What happen to reviewing concept, idea and story? Superficial lah.. Just like the bloody Esplanade durian.

But NO FEAR! This is what the INTERNET is for. I still intend to produce my cartoons all done by ME and publish it on Happeepill. But relax lah, I intend to start on that after i settle some major loose ends like this project I'm working on and getting a login/sign page. Right now there are around 200 new members waiting in my inbox.

I'll elaborate on this project fiasco some other time and I'll show you some screen shots.

Today went pretty well. I got alot done at the office. And when I came back home, I continued working on my project. I wish I can show you guys what I'm working on but I can't. :P

I like to listen to music while I work. And sometimes I listen to khutbahs too. You guys should check this scholar I discovered at YouTube.. his name is Sheik Shady Alsulaimen.. if I spelt it right. Listen to the short khutbah on "Humbleness".

Another thing I just read a couple of days ago was there was a riot in Malaysia because the Government wants English to be taught in school for subjects like Math and Science (if I'm not wrong). And there are people protesting cause they wanna keep it all Malay. I so wanna give a piece of my mind on that but I guess that have to wait.

I realised that theres no more movies left to watch besides the Terminator movie.. I still don't know if I am gonna watch Transformers after the 1st movie sucked so bad. Man, I miss the late P Ramlee.

I know this sucks. I know you guys have been for a long while. Honestly, Episode 3 is still in script stage. It took me 3 times to write cause the first 2 idea was not right. Not Happeepill standard. Haha. The reason for the major delay, is 2 things.. first I told you before that I had problems at work.. office politic bullshit type of problem. That itself cost me 2 weeks of production time.

Trust me, you got no mood to make cartoon or think funny if your day job gives you a headache that lingers even when you are at home. But thanks be to God, it was rectified when my boss came back from his vacation. Then I started to write the script and I was about to start recording but I receive a call from a freind and he offered me a freelance project.

Not those Geylang type of freelance project lah. Freelance graphic-drawing type of project. Usually I would refuse this sort of thing because I already have a full time job mah.. but after he explained to me, I have no choice but to accept. The money and idea was too good to miss man. Actually before I said yes to him, my brain did give a signal, stating that I need to work on content for Happeepill... but after pondering, I guess Happeepill gotta wait........ AGAIN!

But guys, this project is important! Its so important that my friend refuse to tell me over the phone whats its all about and he said he wanted to discuss in person. Mind you, he have to drive 2 and half hours to my place... the last time I rode my motorbike from Pasir Ris to Boon Lay, it took me around say tops.. 1 hour and half hours.. give and take... so you do the math where he's coming from.

But sometimes I see Happeepill got no content also I heart pain. So I tell you what, I will TRY to update with blog entries. No, not those blog entries in the Blog page. Those content are not really blogs; those are surgically thought out ideas, researched content. I'm talking about a diary, report on what I do, what I eat, my thoughts etc.. like a real blog.

One thing I like about the idea is it doesnt take a lot of time and I do believe I can update every other day. I try lah.. we'll see. And at least you guys can read my progess on whatever I'm doing right now.. like if I'm on the sound recording phase or I'm in the watching You Tube and playing games on Miniclip phase.

But the thing I don't like is, I am actually giving you a window to my life... which I don't like. Because this blog entry I wanna do is unscripted and unresearched and unfunny. I will just type what's on my mind. There will also be no cartoon illustration to accompany my entries.. maybe some pics or You Tube video cause those things are easy to embed. So maybe I will try this thing for awhile, write daily and try not to expose myself too much. Personal life is still personal life.

So what you think? Can or not? Can ah.. can ah... Ok set.. We'll try this blog thing ah.. So that means... see you soon, God willing.
