Hard 4.0 25
JUL 07 I watched Die Hard 4.0 yesterday and I must say that it’s been such a long time since I watch a movie this good. I am not really a fan of the Die Hard series and honestly I have never actually sat down and watch a Die Hard movie ever, even though they showed reruns on TV. And I was expecting the same old bullcrap of explosions after explosions, over the top fighting sequences, and overused cool slow motion John Woo style of scenes. But man, this movie is awesome because even though they do have extreme stunts, they made it so believable. Bruce Willis got messed up really bad with bruises all over unlike a Steven Seagal movie where Steven boy will practically aikido his way to the end of the story with his hair still tightly gelled. (But I must admit his aikido skills is dangerously hardcore.) The story tells of how we commoners should never piss a programmer. Cause in this movie, Bruce Willis is dealing with a hi-tech terrorist. He can shut down power lines, redirect traffic lights, reroute gas, change dirty diapers with his crazy programming computer skills. The story is easy to understand and pace of the movie is just right; there is no unnecessary talk about love, overly sentimental scenes with his daughter etc. And even the action sequence can be understood clearly unlike some directors who think that hyperactive camera movements means better depiction of violence. I can’t really find a downside except that I should warn you to clear your bladder first before watching because the movie is 2 hours long and you don’t want to miss a thing! |

| Upside: Even though they have extreme sequences, it is believable. Easy to understand story line with no long-winded unnecessary scenes. And yes, Maggie Q is purrrtee. Downside: |
