Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 29 MAR 07

I watched TMNT 2 days ago and it was great. The turtles are much slimmer than the past movies but they are still pretty much muscular. The turtles default enemies; Shedder, Bebop and Rocksteady are no where to be found but this movie still rocks. Casey Jones (the guy wearing the mask with baseball bats, golf clubs as weapons) is here in this movie.

What I liked about the movie is the smooth 3D animation. And since everything is on 3D, the animators can have crazy camera angles. And the scene where Michelangelo rides his skateboard down the sewers was awesome. I was totally mesmerized by the visuals and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better than this.. they decided to make a raining scene. You can see CGI water droplet on Leonardo’s face. His face was like leather. I was beginning to believe that these turtles ARE REAL.

Oh well, visuals aside, I like the story. It’s not a so straightforward plot but it’s easy to understand. The foot soldiers are cool looking and not clumsy and retarded like how they were drawn in past TMNT cartoons. I like the part when their leader (a girl) just points her finger and off they ran.. This happens a lot in the movie. And they move fast and with minimal sound.. they are ninjas what :D

Overall it was a funny movie and I’m glad it was. It was funny to see the turtles treat each other like brothers. And how they were nervous in front of Splinter, their sensei. On the downside, Splinter looks more like a fox than a rat; his nose is huge! But big nose or no big nose, this movie still watchable! COWABUNGA DUDES!

This what it will look like if yours truly, teams up with the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We would so kick ass, big time!!:D

Upside:
Awesome 3D graphics. Exciting and funny scenes. Good plot.

Downside:
Splinter looked like a fox instead of a rat.
