I’ve always made it a point to reward myself every time Hari Raya hits. Be it a nice meal at a fancy restaurant or buy something I like. This time round, I have my sights on a bunch of used PC games instead of the usual softwares, scripts, music files.. for work. I intend to place aside USD $50 for my cheap online shopping spree. Yeah!

I can’t remember how long I played a good game. I believe it was Command and Conquer Generals. The good news is that, as new games come into the market, the old versions will drop in price. And it will drop further if you buy used! ^__^

I spent like half a day yesterday gathering a short list of the PC game I wanna buy and if you guys want to recommend me any titles, please comment below. So I guess this post isn’t exactly girl friendly.. unless you are girl gamer that is.

Anyway, check out my shopping list so far below:

1) Batman: Arkham Asylum

For an hour or so, I wanna forget that I a skinny Malay guy and pretend I am Batman. The trailer look so good and Gotham City look as broke as New York city. I am so gonna explore the streets like a tourist when I do play this game

“You are suppose to kill the Joker EB!”

That Joker guy and the rest of his loonies can wait. I want to jalan-jalan at the neighborhood stores in Gotham for awhile. I wonder if they have a 7-Eleven here. This Malay Batman wanna buy a slurpee.

2. Crysis

The graphics on this game will literally melt my eyeballs. My close friend, Mr. Dooba played this game before and he said something about the player being able to move any objects. You can touch leaves, climb trees, and watch blades of grass move when they are blown by the wind.

Eh Dooba, you are controlling a super solider not a monkey. You climb trees for what. Seach for bananas ah?

He also said something about finally killing an enemy soldier, and stealing contents from his pockets. Whoa..now we’re talking, any game that allow me to land my hands and molest the CGI dead deserves a 5 star rating. I hope they are hot enemy soldier ladies. Mmmmmm.

3. World in Conflict

I’m still iffy about this one, but who don’t wanna bomb the crap out of another country’s infrastructure? I know I would. And being the perfectionist that I aspire to be, I will not make even one lamppost stand. And to add salt to injury.. once the city have totally been taken over with my little soldiers and tanks… I will clear my ground troops out and wipe out the whole area with a nuclear bomb for good measure. Twice.

“Wah EB, why are you such a sadist.”

No lah, I’m just kidding. I will send a bunch of hippies instead and give out roses to the enemy. The game is called World in Conflict… not World in Peace and Harmony. -__-

4. Sim City 4

To me, all Sim games are HUGE time suckers. Once you install the game, you can practically say goodbye to your social life. I am totally gonna built my city, PAP style. Everything will be Government controlled. Drive taxes high to affect creativity and entrepreneurship among the populace. After that, dump a load of FTs to compete with the locals for jobs.

Oh, looky here, one Sim guy is committing suicide by sitting on a train track.
Hey you can’t do that! Get back to work!

5. Tropico 3

Ahh… another country for me to rule. This time I can be just like Fidel Castro minus the socialist ideology. Hmm.. this island have tons of potential. Should I turn it into one huge tourist spot? Maybe focus on the economy to minimize poverty. Maybe be a freaking dictator and pass a bikini-only dress code…. Yes, even for the guys. Hey it’s my island!

I saw the trailer and it showed the populace can actually take up arms to revolt.
You mean my own citizens are planning to topple me?! Nobody topples the Evil Bunny! You better disband before I make this whole island a nudist resort! No clothes for you! EVAR!
